Our sim card services
For our Japan tours we offer a travel SIM card for all travellers if they would like to purchase one.
You can go to this link: https://japan.globalbroadband.com.au/?aid=5 and purchase it online.
Sim Cards start at $49, $64 and $59.
It is a data only sim card that allows you to purchase 3GB, 7GB and 110MB per day.
Other sim card services
You can also purchase data sim cards in major airports around Japan. You can find them in vending machines with all the different deals and plans for your tour period.
Roaming
We also recommend you to get roaming on your mobile phone through your provider. Depending on the provider it costs a certain amount per day. If you are with Vodafone it will only cost you $5 per day. It depends on your current plan and phone deal.
Wi-Fi broadband
We can also help you set up Wi-Fi broadband if you would like to purchase it.
Wi-Fi
If you are looking for Wi-Fi connection around Japan one of the easiest spots to go is the convenience stores. Family Mart, Lawson and 7-eleven all have Wi-Fi services you just need to log in and then you can use it. Other places that have Wi-Fi include stations, department stores, hotels, fast food restaurants and some cafes.
One of Japan’s biggest mobile companies has created the free Wi-Fi passport where you can search for Wi-Fi spots in every prefecture in Japan.
You can choose the location by landmark, station name and location name/address.
You can search up the locations through this website here: https://www.softbank.jp/en/mobile/special/freewifi/en/search/
.
It’s very useful if you need to search up locations in google maps or find attractions you want to go to.
We are very happy to help you with any options you would like to consider for your travel.
